@lacelessdesign we have had the privilege to learn from some of the very best in the industry. It's only through listening to those who’ve coached us along the way that we ourselves have been able to bring our ideas to life.
It’s through those interactions that inspired our vision that aims to play part in connecting the creatives across the industry. We wanted to share that experience with you guys so we reached some of the most visionary players in the game from design, development to manufacture. These guys are going to play a big part in advising in the final stages of July using their industry experience across the full spectrum of creation.
SENIOR FOOTWEAR DESIGNER for Puma football, he has brushed shoulders with football legends like Thierry Henry, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure to gain insights to design some of the best performing football boots on the market. The result – industry leading products
like the puma ONE and puma King amongst others. He has a very simplistic and minimal approach to design, and believes passionately about creating forward-thinking products.
Coming from a Performance-design background, the products must improve the experience of the user.
Somebody that will be hoping for quite the opposite is passionate Scot, Kevin Kealey. DIRECTOR OF FOOTWEAR DEVELOPMENT for adidas running, he has played a significant role in the incredible growth of adidas running and the US market over the last 10 years. A brilliant product engineer and a keen sportsman, he has combined his passions to big effect on the industry. He is known as a visionary thinker, recognized for challenging the status quo, seeking out the next and knowing a thing or two about footwear. Be prepared to be challenged.
Former HEAD OF DESIGN at fashion brand Oliver Sweeney, Alex brings a different edge to the team. A designer with a passion for making, he brings hands on knowledge with links amongst many small fashion brands and shoe manufacturing partners all over the world. Now CEO of his own start-up Ward Design & Supply, he paves the way for all of you interested in starting up your brand and as you’ll find out he is going to be significant in bringing your product to life.
And of course, captaining the journey to consumer driven design, @lacelessdesign (Mike and I) will be doing our part to help the community gain as much insights from these guys along the way as possible so expert to hear from them over the next month. Tapping into the thoughts and feedback from our expert panel sets us up well to ensure the winning design is progressive, insight driven and commercially relevant. Whoever the winner, we know already that it's going to be incredible.
